SDGs' interrelatedness (About SDGs)
SDGs are interrelated and the connection between the goals are clearly stated on its targets. It is not possible to think about a goal that is not related to others, making this set of goals even more important and relevant to the building of a better world. An example of how the goals are related is the connection between target number 3.1 from SDG 3 ‘Reduce maternal mortality’ and target number 16.1 from SDG 16 ‘Reduce violence everywhere’. The violence in areas under conflict can affect the lives of pregnant women who would not be able to access the public health system in safety. Seeing the SDGs as a whole is mandatory and working on the idea of interrelatedness is necessary to promote these goals effectively.
